Ursula Hauck

Ursula was born in Waterford, Ireland and is of German origin. She studied music theory, voice, and piano at WIT for 7 years, and continued her studies for a further 2 years, obtaining a National Diploma in Dance and Theater Studies at The College of Dance, Dublin, Ireland.

 

She is a singer, songwriter and recording artist for companies such as Avondale Studios, Dublin and McBone Music, New York. Ursula also worked on compilation albums for French artist JMZ and Irish artists Liz Madden and Robert Vickers, released internationally. Her theater credits include the role of Maria in West Side Story, Eileen Boyle in the world premiere of Dance of the Seagulls, Maria Magdalena in Jesus Christ Superstar (Waterford International Festival of Light Opera 2002), Anna Kearns in the European premiere of The Green Room, Lottie Ames in Mack & Mabel, Polly Brown in The Boyfriend, Princess Jasmine in Aladdin, Katie Brown in Calamity Jane, Polly Baker in Crazy for You, Mrs. Luce in Little Shop of Horror's, Diana in A Chorus Line, among others. She has also performed with Opera Ireland in "Aida" at the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin.

While living in Ireland, Ursula was a lead singer, manager, and creative director on the Irish music scene for over 25 years in bands and tribute acts such as Fresh, Catwalk, Johnnie-Be-Goode, Abba'salutely, Classic Motown, Corvettes 60's Tribute, Abba Super Troopers, Disco Nights, and Twist & Shout. Being a versatile performer, she also sang as a soloist throughout Europe in many concerts, tribute shows, and choral festivals. She has danced for companies such as Wella - Vicar Street, Dublin and had the opportunity to attend Dance Masterclasses with Wayne Sleep at Trinity College, and Michael Foley in New York.

Ursula's voice was featured in several national and international television commercials, including Stephens Green Shopping Center (Dublin), Renault (France), Seagulls Dance the musical (RTE/BBC/E4), and Cox Communications (New York). She can also be heard singing on many albums by Irish and other European artists, and on the original recordings of the musicals Pentimenti and Seagulls Dance. She has had the pleasure of working in the studio with David Hayes, Lar Scally, Davy Spillane, Seamus Brett, Fionan de Barra, Robert Vickers and many other well-known Irish artists.

Ursula worked as Musical Director for TheatreTrain, London and Livewire Theater Company, Dublin for 10 years performing at the Olympia Theatre, Rupert Guinness Theater and Liberty Hall, Dublin. She was the director and co-founder of Vox Music School, Ireland and trained students in voice, music theory and performance skills.

She appeared in theaters across the UK including West End Theatres, Drury Lane, The Palace, and at The Manchester Opera House, as well as singing backing vocals at the O2 Theatre, Dublin on Josh Groban´s 2007 World Tour. Ursula's final theatre stage credits whilst living in Ireland, were with Jim Molloy Promotions, which included playing the role of Consuela in West Side Story at the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin, and as ensemble cast in The Pirates of Penzance at The Helix Theatre, Dublin. She also played the supporting role of Lottie Ames in Mack & Mabel, and finally following this, she was cast in the European Premiere of "The Green Room", a USA musical written by well-known L.A musical director, producer and writers, C. Stephen Foster, and Chuck Pelletier, playing and creating the role of Anna Kearns. In 2012, she flew to the Princess rehearsal studios in Los Angeles to work as a Featured Guest Entertainer for Princess Cruises Production Cast. She enjoyed entertaining clients on board many of their ships and travelling around the world.

 

She currently lives in Riviera Maya, Mexico working as the Entertainment Manager and Vocal consultant for ERS Hospitality, where she plays a large role in the company. Her passion is managing, mentoring, and maintaining the high standard and quality the ERS team demands of their local, national and international acts. She looks forward to working with you on either your small-scale weekly entertainment needs, or your large-scale production show projects.
